We are in a separate division from WKU. We are in the same conference however.

And he was rewarded for winning a division championship not a Conference Championship. No reason to bring WKU into the equation, they only factored into 1 UL loss.

How about we reward him based on wins. Pay $10,000 salary for each D-1 win. A "bonus" for winning the conference (let's say $20,000), and then $20,000 for each NCAA tournament win. You want to throw in cash for NIT wins, fine. Bonus for 1000 APR, fine. Now go earn your money coach!

I like it except you can't reward a coach for simply doing an off court job requriment known from day one. I understand the leeway between .925 and 1.000 but really if a coach scores a 1.000 APR he was only doing what he understod was a job requirment.

Still your opening line sounds good "How about we reward him based on wins."

Great idea, but it will never happen.

This is the reason I have soo much more respect for athletes like golfers and tennis players. If you don't win, you don't get paid.

Two years ago UL was co-western division champs. That year, the western division was horrrrrrrible. Every inter-divisional game was a 40 minute pillow-fight.

I think that's what Turbine is saying.

I thought it was $175K/yr. So while it would never happen, under my $10K/win scenario he would have to win 17-18 games per year to reach that total; then bonus time would kick in with post-season. Wishful thinking!

Oh I see, when I said "rise to the top" you brought up WKU to point out that Lee was no where near the top. My bad again.

The person who signed those glorified HS coaches to ANY contract should be run out of town.

If its the APR they are worried about, they will still have a problem when players who DO NOT LIKE Losing haul it to other programs.

    It's a LOSE-LOSE situation.

If either had an ounce of scruples, they would resign. NEITHER will be successful hereafter. The echos of he Cajundome will be worse than when Marty was here.

ANd to think, LEE actually thinks his sytem is a good one and he THINKS the fans are behind him. (Perhaps it is good system for REC ball)
