Athlete: Edwin Richardson
Edwin Richardson a member of the University of Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame who excelled in track, basketball, football with baseball being his most notable sport.
At the time Louisiana (SLII) was a member of the Louisiana Intercollegiate Athletic Association, and at a Louisiana College track meet, Edwin led UL to a state championship. His 21 feet 3 and a half inches won the broad jump while 14 of his 15 teammates scored points that day.
