Southern 13
Cajuns 49
Southern 13
Cajuns 49
with an average possession of 5:27 per TD drive, Cajuns score 7 TDs. Southern gets close 3 times but never puts it in. final score:
Cajuns 48-9
(missed an extra point)
Cajuns 59
Jag-You-Ahs 17
Here's hopin for regular nachos not enclosed in tiny bags and "cheese" in a cup. It's my only worry.
Cajuns score early and often. Southern gets a late TD and field goal while the Cajuns go into cruise control.
Cajuns - 52
Jags - 10
Southern won't be able to stop the run. Even when it's time to run the clock, we put up points. Let's not forget our backup RB's are also solid.
Cajuns 52
Southern 10
56-7
My prediction is WBRZ only runs highlight of Southern's band, that's how bad it will get.
Louisiana......55
LTURd's........13
Southern........7
Thought I'd go ahead and get in next week's prediction too.
Here are my factors for prediction:
-Our history in these games
-Southern's history of having athletes
-They'll bring people
-Our first game
-Weather looks dicey
And most of all, people keep saying the the talent gap is sooooo wide.. I don't necessarily believe that. Their skill guys can play, no matter what the situation. Not calling out the fan base, but folks are HAMMERED on Cajun Kool aid right now. I know we are a quality team, but we're not miles ahead. We're just not. Couple that with a team with expectations like ours having to "get up" for a swac opponent; I just don't see the blowout. And honestly, what's the difference? Maybe we win ugly and learn a lesson at the same time. Dealing with 18-22 year olds here.
And please save the "negative fan" narrative. At the end of the day, I think this team loses one game this season.
I disagree about the guys being up for this game. You forget that a lot of guys on both teams played either with or against each other growing up. Our qb is from Baton Rouge. It's a big deal to them, I would be more worried about them coming out too hyped and making mistakes than them coming out flat.
