Thread: Pro Sports teams slashing ticket prices.

Default Pro Sports teams slashing ticket prices.

I wonder if this is going to be a trend. I still follow ECHL hockey going to MS Seawolves games in Biloxi and heard they were slashing by as much $100 on season tickets. I found this about the Colorado Avs http://neighbors.denverpost.com/view...=43&t=11848249

In Louisiana we haven't been affected much (If you have I know it seems like we have) by the poor state of our economy. I guess we never had much of one to be affected. However I wonder what this is going to do to college sports.

I keep hearing this issue mentioned, but I doubt the Green Bay Packers 30 year waiting list will shorten, and the Yankees are still moving into a new stadium. It's unlikely, Jerry Jones will be offering incentives for his new stadium...

The economy is a non-factor for college sports. One of the most contested issues for divorces in this state is who keeps the rights to season tickets. When people care more about their ticket licenses than they do the dog or kids, you can be sure prices are a non-issue. On the other hand, if you have a school who already can't sell season tickets....who's going to notice the reduction in price?
