At least they changed the color of the ponchos from orange looking to a more red color. someone besides me finally noticed that
What could have been a Cajun Field attendance record against Southern with nice weather is probably not likely since the weather is predicted to be horrible with rain chances of 80-90%. I was hoping for a nice night to unveil the newly renovated Cajun Field with the new video board and a huge crowd to see the Cajuns beat Southern. Hopefully next week against Tech, the weather will cooperate so a packed Cajun Field and a big win over La Tech will give the team confidence before hitting the road to Ole Miss and Boise State.
Next week isn't looking any better at the moment. We've just got to toughen up. Bring a bag for your phone...it's just water.
As of now it's training to the west of us hopefully it stays that way
One ziplock is the secret weapon against the rain.
Just looked on katc futurecast and at 6pm 8pm and 10pm there is no rain in Lafayette
Rain won't stop me from enjoying opening weekend! Will be at Cajun Field around 8:00 am wearing board shorts and flip slops to tailgate. Have game clothes and another set for the ride home packed and ready!
Tomorrow is supposed to be the first Cajun football game that my 7 month old daughter attends.
I have been so pumped up from the day that she was born to bring her to her first Ragin' Cajun football game! I have had her UL gear that I want her to wear to the first game picked out for weeks! We even did a dress rehearsal last Saturday to make sure everything fits.
Everytime I look at my daughter and ask, "Is it gameday yet?" She starts laughing at me. I know she cant understand me yet but its almost like she knows how tired my wife is of being tricked into thinking I have a legitimate question only to hear the same rhetorical question from me.
Now, all of a sudden tonight my wife "doesnt think its a good idea to bring her in the game if it might rain."
What kind of BS is that?!?!?!?
She didnt mind bringing her the the Sunbelt Conference Softball Tournament and regionals and supers when it was 120 degrees but a little rain is going to keep her home?!?!?
Tomorrow is going to be a very tense day in this Ragin' Cajun household...
My wife had our daughter on the 17th, so naturally we won't be out there. We are, however, setting up the tent, firing up the grill, putting her in a Cajun's onesie and having a little family tailgate in the backyard. I can't wait until we can bring her out to Cajun Field, though.
Rain should slow down and actually completely stop by game time. Get your butts to the game.
