BOX LUNCH: UL snatches victory over LSU at Alex Box Stadium

_ Parrott, in my opinion if LSU would have beat UL they would have picked up the AP feed and ran the story. I called earlier today and a guy in the sports department had no answer why they did not run the story. Well I asked him if it will run in tommorow's paper and he turned to someone else in the room and asked "are we running the USL LSU story tommorow" and the answer was NO. _

_ I was in the press box last night and did not see anyone from the Lake Charles newspaper. So it was not a situation where they staffed the game but did not write anything because the Cajuns beat LSU. _

The pressbox was dead last night....and that was including all the increased traffic from people just trying to waste time. I don't think many papers staffed that game.

_ Chech out the Lake Charles American Press. No mention of UL beating LSU. Not that I am surprised because that paper is LSU first, McNeese second, and when they can blast UL.

Former American Press sportswriter Carl Dubois (now based in Baton Rouge) still blogs for them.

I guess for the game to get in the American Press Carl would have had to find it interesting.
