That was a crazy game. I guess the good guys are only guaranteed come from behind victories in comic books and fairy tales.
But, what really pained me was switching memory cards only to drop one down the drainage grate. As soon as I looked down to assess my precarious predicament...TINK, and I look up to see Hawkins' shot soaring over left center. WTF?
Great game!
Just got back from the game. Here are my $.02 on what I saw.
Griffen's homer might be the farthest hit ball I've ever seen... The only question off the bat was fair or foul, not whether it was deep enough
From a former allstate high school baseball player and college recruit who thinks he can hit anyone...(I'm talking about myself) I will say this, Coleman for LSU was NASTYYYYY. Not only were Cajun hitters not even close, I don't think I could have hit that guy. (And thats coming from an overconfident past-time player)
Cajuns looked like they had something to prove. They played with a chip on their shoulder. Now the question is, will they play with that same intensity every game?
Fuse looked good. Glad we got him for 3 more years.
that was one hell of a game. glad i was there the first time UL played at new alex box and won!!!igeaux.mobi
Yea it's pretty pathetic to see all the people freaking out around page ten or so about how we all of a sudden sucked at the plate and all that jazz... give me a break people. If you are posting on this board then you are obviously not at the game seeing what is going on, unless you have a coooool phone! haha.. but seriously... I was at the game and we were smashing the ball everywhere until Coleman came in, and let me tell you.... the guy has a NASTY change up and curve.... you can forgive our guys for cooling down a bit after he came in.
But by no means was this team ever "giving up" or playing for the loss as some of you suggested... they were constantly playing with full out 100% effort. Les Smith almost broke his ankle trying to dive for a foul ball in the Tiger bull pen... this team is full of heart! Unlike last year!!!! We will be fine this year... don't worry about the early losses.. just let them play it out and we will win plenty.
Got home at midnight, finally went to sleep around 12:45 am. Wake up 5:30 am for an 11 hour work day.........
but sooooooooooooooooo worth it because of what I saw at the Litter Box last night!!
GEAUX CAJUNS!!
