UL - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns tennis team is pleased to announce two sponsors for their home matches this week. The Cajuns are set to face Illinois State, Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Troy, Thursday at 6 p.m.
The Ragin' Cajuns are coming off a win against Southern on Sunday, March 8. The Cajuns defeated the Jaguars 5-2 in end their four match skid.
UL now 4-4 on the season will look to get back above .500. All four losses have come at the hands of ranked opponents, and on the road, #41 LSU, #68 UCF, #70 FAU, #74 USM.
“Playing all of these ranked teams on the road and losing to all four teams 4-3, we have definitely had some bad luck, but to be honest 3 of the 4 matches should never have gotten to 4-3," said coach Mark Jeffrey. "We just have not done a good job of finishing matches on the road for whatever reason. Our team has recommitted their focus for the home stretch and we are determined now more than ever to take care of these opportunities when they arise."
Jeffrey added, "We are a top 50 team Nationally we have to start playing like one on the court, no excuses lets just get the job done”.
Mark Jeffrey has announced the following as sponsors for the upcoming matches:
March 11: Coyote Blues will be supplying free food to the first 50 people through the door, and Bells Sporting Goods will supply prizes.
March 12: City Club at River Ranch will be supplying free food to the first 50 people with free racket giveaway supplied by Wilson Sporting Goods.
