Kelly at FS puts a player that knows what the receiver is thinking and trying to do and knows what the QB is up to...in an excellent crossover position.
Ball goes up...it's in the air....
Kelly's looking the ball in, getting his body in position to shield the approach of the ball, TIMING...he jumps up in the air....HE HAS IT!!!
He's at the 40.... the 30...the 20...he 10...TOUCHDOWN UL!!!
He becomes the receiver, he has all the soft skills, looking forward to seeing him in action...he will be the only WR on the field that does not have a DB covering him...
This is a good move. You always want to have your better players in the game as much as possible. He will probably be on the field for more snaps playing DB than WR because of our running the ball so often.
He played some safety at STM and he was very good. I wouldnt be surprised if he led the team in picks this year if he got adequate playing time.
