Thread: Key story lines for Ragin' Cajuns in Spring Football

  1. UL Football Key story lines for Ragin' Cajuns in Spring Football

Coming off the program's third six-win season in the past four years, the UL football team returns to the field on Wednesday for spring practice.

Long gone is the frustration for the Cajuns (6-6 overall, 5-2 Sun Belt) from narrowly missing out on a bowl bid. Now the focus is on evaluating the returning players and trying to improve during 15 spring practices after a second-place conference finish.

"Spring football is an opportunity to develop chemistry in a new football team that will be led by new seniors," UL coach Rickey Bustle said. "This is the chance for the new seniors of the team to step-up and lead."

As is always the case in collegiate athletics, there are plenty of questions that must be answered before the start of next season. Here's a look at five story lines facing UL football going into spring practice.

Practices will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Scrimmages are set for Saturdays. The annual spring game is April 4 at Cajun Field.
