convince my wife of that.
This thread is dumb. I wanted to be a part of it.
Man, I wish I was old enough to be around the program during the chicken days. I clearly missed out.
oh, you missed out...Time-outs and half times have never been the same at B-ball games.
Not to mention, NO ONE has ever been able to pump up a crowd and get a cheer started better than that guy.
red and white towels in the middle of the court...everyone yelling the color that he held up.
and of course the classic sound of that drum being beaten nearly the entire game. a true class act mascot.
Does the "chicken" (russ) have a son that would wanna take over???
I think the Fabulous Cajun Chicken (forgot his real name) owns the rights to it. I sure wish that if he's retired the gig, that he'd hold tryouts for an heir to his throne... and allow the legend to be reborn. He's not a part of the university... but I sure wish T-Joe would help endorse the return and add the Fabulous Cajun Chicken back into the current build of our programs. It really was hilarious and fun.
The Fabulous Cajun Chicken 1982...*...2008 is Russell Heim
* sizeable hiatus between impressive encore performances.
