Thread: Going stickle on available data

  1. Support Going stickle on available data

In Jessie Evans last 2 years as UL Ragin' Cajuns basketball coach the average attendance was 4461 fans per game.

In the last 5 years the average attendance has been 3140.

This is a loss of 1321 fans per game. How many of those still go out and buy Ragin' Cajuns clothing?

In a 13 home game year that is a loss of 17,168 fans.

At $8 dollars a ticket that is a loss of $137,342.00 per year.

Over the last 5 years UL has lost $686,712 in (used to be) income funds.

    * This does not take into account the paying no show crowd.

Do you have the attendance year by year? Go back as far as you want.

Thank you! Can anyone in the athletic department do any simple math? They are losing money by retaining him. This is the exact reason why I don' think that they can afford to retain him. If the administration has to only retain one coach between errol rogers and robert lee, they need to look at the numbers. On a good year we'd average around 800 people a game for womens b-ball, so a 1000 person drop in attendance in mens basketball equals more than if every single womens basketball fan stopped going to a game period. Unfortunately its the math that I hope the administration will look at if they have to make a decision to only retain one coach.

Are these two years the EXACT same attendance? I find that hard to believe.

"Strickly" speaking, the title of this thread is driving me crazy. Could someone please correct the spelling on the title?
