It wasn't very long ago - four days, in fact - that the UL baseball team was on the verge of being a bit shell-shocked.

The Ragin' Cajuns were going into the third game of the road series at Southern Miss with a 1-5-1 record without regulars Chance Harst, Matt Goulas, Will Long and Justin Robichaux to lean on.

Four days later, those players still may not be available heading into this weekend's Sun Belt Conference opener at Arkansas State, but the Cajuns will do so with a little more resolve after building a three-game winning streak following a 13-0 demolition of Texas Southern on Wednesday at "Tigue" Moore Field.
