Uber is aggressively expanding into the turf of taxi-booking apps in Asia. Today it announced_the launch of ‘uberTAXI’ in Hong Kong (as spotted by Tech in Asia), which will connect customers with licensed taxis in the city. This comes just a few days after it launched the same service in Japan’s capital city, Tokyo. Uber’s taxi-booking service works in the same way that rival services_Grabtaxi_and Easy Taxi do in Asia.
