In order to raise awareness about ALS, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella accepted Steve Gleason’s Ice Bucket Challenge and challenged Jeff Bezos and Larry Page to do the same. If they are not taking the challenge, they need to donate money for it. Even Mark Zuckerberg took the challenge and poured a bucket of water on himself. He challenged Bill Gates, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg to do the same. On Wednesday, the Ability Eye Gaze team, which won the Grand Prize in Microsoft’s first-ever companywide Hacakthon, was given the chance to dump a bucket of ice water on CEO Satya Nadella as part of an effort to raise awareness around amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS.)
