I'm not sure we were lucky to have him. I think he brought more negatives than positives during his time as a Cajun. I do believe he was lucky to be a Cajun and I hope he doesn't squander the multpile chances he has been given.

point taken, although without MS during his last season, the Cajuns would have fared much much more poorly. Remember, we are talking about the worst coached team in college basketball so major talent is needed for wins. If I remember correctly, that team had mediocre results, despite MS playing pretty well. It could have been much worse...
