_ Slow down turbo. He's playing well, but it's still early in the season. He has looked pretty bad on the 2 errors he was charged for and a couple of the plays that he should have made were ruled hits. I'm not down on him. Don't forget he had a much worse fielding % than Long last year. He is a solid player right now, but don't call him great yet. As for hitting, he's as hot as they come. Let's see where he settles after he cools down. He was given an opportunity and he took advantage of it.

All else aside, I want anyone but Will Long at SS this year. _

I heard that Fontenots problem last year was nothing more than nerves. To me, he looks like a poor mans Jameson Parker, and we haven't had a good shortstop since Parker played, so hopefully he keeps the current play up and gives us a solid option at shortstop all season long.

_ lets mark the hottest team in the country because they blew out Lehigh (who is this), and beat a BAD South AL team. I mean why wouldn't we tab another unbeaten LSU for instance they have played national powerhouses such as: Villanova, Central Florida, and Southern?

Maybe we could even target team like Kent State: They swept a big time power and are still undefeated they beat Wagner 3 times this week, now that is hot.

The moral of the story is Southern Miss has not played a tough schedule to this point. Sure they look hot against the competition that they are playing. Lets look at a team you could consider hot or a team that is on a roll. For instance, Rice this past week.....They beat #6 Baylor #1 Texas A&M #9 UCLA and a good Houston team...put the "hottest team in the country (Southern Miss) in those 4 games and I would imagine that wouldn't be saying they are the hottest team in the country.....People are so quick to jump to conclusions you need to look at the caliber of teams that they are playing. _

I hear what your saying but I will be surprised if they (Southern Miss)lose more then ten games this season. BTW I would like to take 4 outof 5 this week, at least. Just saying.
