Boy, they've really done a fantastic job of destroying college athletics over the past couple years.

All this will lead to is more tatoos and vehicle purchases. I ain't helping foot that bill for 18 year olds. If my hard earned money is gonna go towards athletes pockets, it's gonna be to at least watch the elite of the elite in the traditional professional ranks.
Same here. I refuse to give money to a cause like that. And I hope others feel the same way. Which should in turn cause all this to backfire. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.

So no more using athletes in promotional pieces. No hype videos featuring in-game plays, no commercials featuring players. No player pictures in media guides or gameday programs?

All are directly or indirectly used to generate money for athletics.

The P5 conferences must maintain the perception of amateur athletics played by students. If it looks like pro or semi-pro athletics, why not follow the NFL instead?

when you sign the dotted line the ncaa owns your likeness in perpetuity-forever, not while you are in school, forever. they in turn allow private corporations to make billions of dollars off of that for your entire life and you have no say. This is what the case is about and why it's brought on by former athletes like ed o'bannon and oscar robinson. If it were an amateurism/we are protecting the purity of the sport issue it wouldn't be for your entire life, rather just while you are in school. But its not it about that at all and they know that.

These new rules should provide a fantastically ironic postscript/conclusion for your documentary.
