Rage, I was sitting right behind first base (in between the dam obstructing pole and the end of the bleachers, where the view is perfect from first base to home) and that was no "perfect push bunt". Either Scott expected the pitcher to get that, or the pitcher was supposed to pick it up and toss; either way, it was a mental lapse. The bunt was as bad as the one in the 2nd inning when the starter threw the guy out at third.
You practice these things over and over and over. Miscommunication or what have you, it was poor. It shouldn't happen at the college level.
