I've been to Lafayette to see the Golden Eagles and the Cajuns play in football and baseball and I've always enjoyed the trips. Even went to the New Orleans Bowl in Lafayette.
There's not really anything not to like or enjoy that I've found. The people are great and very hospitable, the drive over is not bad at all. There's great food everywhere, on campus, tailgating, local resturants. Hotel prices are reasonable, Lafayette is an easy town to get around in....
I would much rather go to Lafayette for a game than Baton Rouge.
With all that being said are many Cajun's planning to come to Hattiesburg for the Baseball Series next week?
If looked at in perecpective I would say facilities of a 10 Mil budget can impress. If you keep everything clean and looking good. Nebraska knows that everywhere they go isn't going to have facilities that are the same as there's. Just imagine driving up to Cajun field and seeing the Monsterous indoor facility and all of the parks and stadums surrounding it. For someone who has never been here, I would imagine that would be somewhat impressive. Not many mid major NCAA athletic dept. have a facility like the indoor facility to boast about. Just playing devils advocate.
