    So does that mean the NCAA can determine a winner or a loser? If it wasn't the third out and we scored after that "protest" play, does that mean the NCAA can rule that our runner was at fault and make the run null and void giving Nebraska a win instead of a tie?

    Yea probably so. Its not going to happen, but thats what could.

    Seriously, the base runner was going down the line. The pitcher was not standing in the basepath, but he ran into the runner. The pitcher pretty much cut off the runner. Even then, the pitcher was in no position to make the catch because the ball was going more towards 2B than the 1B line. The 1Bman was the man to make the play and he botched it due to himself. There was no interference whatsoever on him.

    If the play is overturned, the game must be picked up from that point. Which means Nebraska would have to fly back down here to finish the game with 1 out in the bottom of the 8th inning and a 5-3 lead.
