Yahoo announced today at the Black Hat security conference that it will introduce an optional end-to-end encryption setup_for its email service this fall, according to The Wall Street Journal. Google showed off_a PGP-based encryption plugin for Gmail back in June. Forbes reports that Yahoo will modify the plugin for its own service. That would also allow users that have the plugin installed to communicate securely between Gmail and Yahoo accounts. Microsoft has also been rolling out improved encryption for Outlook throughout 2014, with plans to complete its upgrades by the end of this year.
