Thread: Ragin' Cajuns try to keep their season from vanishing into thin air

  1. UL Basketball Ragin' Cajuns try to keep their season from vanishing into thin air

To build on the momentum of a come-from-behind win last weekend over Arkansas State, UL now heads up to the Rocky Mountains.

The Cajuns (9-16 overall, 6-8 Sun Belt) used a strong team defense and timely baskets to rally late past the Red Wolves, 54-50, on Saturday. That approach will come in handy at 8 tonight against Denver, which frustrates opponents with its slow-down pace, half-court motion offense and match-up zone defense.

UL coach Robert Lee said there are other concerns when playing against the Pioneers (11-14, 6-8) in Magness Arena.

The air that took their season away has come and gone.

I'll do the Golden Watusi if the cajuns win the Sunbelt Tourney and get a bid.

Yea not the greatest headline. The season vanished after a month after tipoff. The suspensions, injuries, lack of performance, and overall drama have made for disappointment and plenty of apathy on the fans' part.

I do not envy Parrott. It has got to be hard to come up with different story lines when almost every game is exactly the same. At least he does not have to go see them play in person this time.

Yet, in this crummy conference, we still have a shot to host first round/playin game
