Two projected starters - Matt Goulas and Kyle Olasin - underwent surgery on the same day in late January.
Goulas, a sophomore expected to start again in right field and hit second in the lineup, had a rib removed after being diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. The New Iberia native is out indefinitely and might end up redshirting.
