I'm sure I've said this at some time or another, just not sure where or how long ago, but let's reclarify things. "The NCAA" is not just a group of office workers who know nothing about the sport of which they are making decisions. The selection committees are made up of athletic directors, conference representatives and others who have athletic administration experience. They are given a large volume of information with which to make their decisions, and normally have some direct knowledge or experience of the sport in which they are making their decisions. Up front, they are not going to view the teams as a coach would, they will be a little more impartial.
