Here is John Dugas' response to my inquiry of how this affects TG4:
Mike,
I’m glad you emailed me, I always like to hear input from our supporters. What we are going to do is allow TG 4 passes to park in the car spaces within the new RV. It’s the same lot most of you have been parking in, it just might be a little closer to Congress St then where you have parked in the past. Because of the space needed to back in RV’s, we will use the car spots between the 2nd and 3rd rows of RV’s for car parking. The link below shows the new RV area. Let me know if you have any questions. That lot will be heavily guarded on game day, so you will be directed to the appropriate area by parking enforcement.
Thanks again for your input, we are all looking forward to a great season.
I would think that solves the problem.
Is the Masters Program to figuring out TG/Parking/RCAF inner workings?
As of now I have a C lot parking tag 500 dollar min donation and 2 TG parking passes. Due to the fact that I have children active in youth sports on Saturday morning I cannot get there before 12 to park in my TG spot. Normally I park in TG next to tent and my wife comes later and parks in C. It sounds like I can't park in TG spot if I get there 4 hrs prior to the game.
Anyone know if it's possible to split a 500 dollar donation into 2 250 dollar donations and get 2 D parking passes? It is really said that it has come to this. I have never seen an admin who could take something very simple and make so many rules just to complicate things.
John Dugas left his email address so people with problems could email him about it ... I would expect you would have no problems splitting your rcaf in order to get 2 D passes.
I don't understand what it is so complicated? There is no longer room in the parking area for non-rcaf members ... that is a good thing, a very good thing ... well, it is a good thing if you are trying to grow your program and raise money for it.
I will make this bold prediction; next year it will take $500 to get 1 D pass.
There is always General Parking which has been improved and is not far away. Everybody has special circumstances that may not allow for them to be in the tailgating area; our group has someone every year with situations but they just deal with it.
Yes. It is possible. I did it. You have to let Matt Casbon know that you want to make that change. Probably want to do that pretty soon before they start sending out tickets and passes. Adapt and over come. This is really not a big deal. With the amount of people tailgating and drinking, the vehicle traffic should be limited.
siht, KL, why dont you just say that they need to consult you to make any changes as to not effect your routine in any way. They could give you a police escort to your spot and you would still have something to say about it.
