If every tailgater did what I did it would not be good and I don't even go into the tailgating area I park along Cajun Walk near the stadium
But that's what I'm talking about, a lot of people already do. Some have trailers they put everything in, some walk it back to car pregame, some wait for traffic, it's not like all of sudden now all those people are gonna be in a mad dash to get back to their spot. Majority of people already do it this way with out parking in their spot. You are not converting every tailgating spot to something new. You are just gonna have some people start doing it the same way the rest already does it.

Surely this is not being done for liability issue because the new way causes driving in and out of the TG area to double. It will be more dangerous especially after the game when 100's are trying to get in at once. At least the old way cars trickled in and out.

That's because they had a car at the ready and waiting to park the tired kids while they packed up.

I never complained about having to get back in from the behind the hilton. Read my posts more thoroughly. We plan on feeding 150 for each home game. We have a team for each home game that is responsible for preparing this meal. Its not a meal that can be carried in by one guy, like you have been doing! Do you get this point, or do you need more explaining.

We didn't abuse the parking passes. Each team had to arrive early Saturday, and in some cases, the night before the game in order to start preparations to feed this amount of people. We parked 4 cars in our two spots. We always stay till the end of the game and on most occasions, a lot longer. Our group was started by ex football players and we often get guys from out of town in for games and we'll stay visiting with them long after the game is over. We've had these two spots for as long as they first became available.

OK I relent, you have lived it from the inside out, I have witnessed it from the outside in.

I rather that than a drunk person leaving the TG area at 5pm because they only went to tailgate and are in a hurry to get back to watch the tigers.

You decrease traffic, you decrease the odds of something this tragic happening. God forbid this happen to anyone, but with your logic, maybe they could trade me a few season ticket packets in exchange for the funeral costs whenever their "rule" contributed to the event....

Those same people that get their early will now unload everything then go park. Nobody is asking 1 persons to carry everything, I've never carried anything from the lot either...pull up to your spot, unload all your crap and go park. Since you already stay until well after the game then this is no problem at a for you. Nothing changes, you just can't leave your car in the spot.

And thank god, nobody has been killed under the current set up. You know like a kid playing football in an area that is supposed to be void of traffic and gets run over by someone who decided it's too hot or they can't crap in public, or they are going watch the tigers. Or a kid crawls under a vehicle to get his ball on the blind side while someone decided to leave. As a parent if you don't watch your kid at 9pm when you know 20k people are driving off, that's more on you. A parent should be able to take some comfort in letting their kid play a game of football at a tailgate without worrying that there are people driving through.

I disagree, there aren't 30k people walking around at 9 pm

what i find the most amusing of all of this is that the people _____ing about having to change their routines are also the ones that _____ about savoie and farmer with there satirical "thats not how we do things here"

its funny because that is exactly what they are saying. "we parked our cars here since we sucked and no one came, you cant change that, thats now how we do things here"

and for what is worth, im part of one of those cooking teams

Default Just got E-mail, have questions

I just got the E-Mail from RC Athletics with the new TG parking rules. It needs clarification.

TG passes will not be allowed to park in TG spot.

TG passes will not be allowed to enter into TG spot at 6 hours before game time but RCAF passes WILL. ??????

According to these rules, I can park in the TG area with my RCAF D lot pass.
