    Early warn saves emotional yarn.

As bad as it is (bait & switch) I'm just glad they didn't wait till game week.

How many big schools in the country can u just drive around the tailgate areas literally within the parking lot of the stadium...things will only change more and more as the success continues with our football program and we can't expect to keep doing the same thing each year because "that's how we have always done it" just sounds like whining to me...and I'm sure that's all the administration takes it as.
Just think what's gonna happen if we actually start having every game over 30k in attendance or dare I say over 35k in attendance...u think tailgating is crazy now, imagine how it will be with more success. I believe the school is doing it's best to adapt to greater influx of tailgating and trying to make it more "tailgater" friendly and less cars using those spots...
    I'm all for it.
That's all I have to say.
+1 Couldn't have said it better myself... We have been fortunate and lucky for long enough... I'm actually glad we have this "problem" It means they expect more fans and I am all for that.

What happened to "adapt & overcome"? I have seen multiple suggestions to make the transition workable. Past is the past.....re-define the new battlespace. Adapt to alternatives. Over time refine with your experiences and apply lessons learned.

I don't see it in the budget to lay sod in a parking lot. If it rained and you had typical TG traffic cars would be making ruts and bogging down all over.

Note to all TG'ers in the event of rain don't expect to drive to your spot at all unless you have a 4x4. Even then you may be blocked in order to not make ruts.

You do realize sod is only like 75-100 a pallet I seriously doubt it would take more than 15-20 pallets I think this universty can swing 2 grand for grass

With all the complaining, the school could say "screw all of you, have fun finding your own tailgate spots and leave"

Geez spoiled people can make a fan base look bad.
    Hey Hat,

Do you have a TG spot? If so, how long have you had it? How many people do you host?

Our group has had 2 spots ever since they started charging to TG. We have a team (4-6 individuals/couples) for each home game. The majority of our team members are ex-football players. We plan to feed 150 people for each game. Its a production that involves a lot of planning and pieces of equipment. These new rules make doing what we've done for years way more difficult, so we are naturally not happy about it. You can drop by our tent August 30th and explain your opinion on the situation? Let me know and I'll let you know where we are located. Rick Young

I only worry about the team members that are hosting that particular game. In the past, I only parked at our TG spot when it was my turn to feed for that game. Otherwise, I parked in my $1000/year RCAF parking lot.

Sad thing is I had spent over $1,000 for a camera (half with donated money) that I can't use and don't feel like using for anything else. Good news is soon the camera will be obsolete and I won't feel as bad.
    Can I borrow?
