Not sure where you got any of that from my posts, but cool story. All I said was that people are complaining about having to walk a little bit extra because of the new parking rules, and I don't feel sympathy for said complaints. It was not an attack. It was not an accusation. It was me freely expressing my opinion.

Keep harping on this issue all you like. I have time.

They used to if I remember correctly. The TG passes used to guarantee a spot in the D parking lot...I could be wrong on that.

Ok admittedly I didn't go back and reread every part of your conversation.

I just read his last comment as couldn't due to career, followed by couldn't due to being in school which I took as more of an afford than a being around.

I read your choices comment wrong thinking you were pitting tailgating vs education.

With this new rule, my siblings will have to pony up, car pool or walk (or possibly quit coming bc they don't care that much).
Sorry if I implied that. It wasn't my intent.

From the other side of things, it's extremely frustrating to be on the waiting list to get a tailgating spot for years when people use an "extra" spot just to park their cars when there's a large parking lot nearby.

This is your first post on the subject. Your problem is with people who have extra spots just to park their cars. You lamented the fact that people on the waiting list are frustrated because they didn't get a spot. One way not to be frustrated...get on top of it and get in early. The people are on the waiting list because they were not around to get the spot when it came up or did not do what it took to get the spot they wanted. The people who had the spots were around and did something about it. It was completely allowed by the rules. My opinion is that your opinion is a really petty and immature way to look at things. That was me freely expressing my opinion also. Have a nice day.

For $500 you got a tailgate spot and 2 TG passes, plus your $250 of your rcaf provided you with a Dlot pass. So for $500 you got a spot and the ability to park 3 cars, while other people pay $250 to park 1 car in the gravel. So it's cheaper to keep your spot even to only keep it as a parking space. Some were not using their spot as a tailgate area, they used it just for parking. That's how I see it as skirting the system. To me this needed to be done to grow the system. Financially it needed to be done. You now increase RCAF membership and revenue instantly. I hope we can eventually get where the gravel is all $500 level parking. The difference in safety is yet to be seen, but I've seen numerous people leaving their spot during prime tailgate hours for whatever reason and drive through the crowd. I suggested earlier an easier way to solve it all. To get in the fence you need rcaf pass, get rid if TG pass. Anyone with an rcaf pass can drop off supplies anywhere. No vehicles in TG area after 1. If you not in rcaf your vehicle never gets inside the fence.

Eventually the RCAF is going to have to become a fundraiser and not count on football parking rule changes to make it's nut.

I may be myopic but I can't see staying home as a silver lining.

These people weren't coming into the games...or the majority of them weren't. Our attendance won't lag...it may even increase. The ones who invest may look at the money and say...since we are paying for parking...we may as well pay for tickets too. When you got them on the hook...all you have to do is reel them in without them slipping off. Our winning ways should be enough to keep them from slipping off.

I'm not saying that, but getting to a point where the number and level of members that $250 no longer cuts it. Hopefully A and B level grow dramatically and pushes everyone back.
