What the F are you talking about? I'm not skirting any system. I'm using the B lot pass that my RCAF donation paid for to allow my wife to park. I am using the TG pass to park in D lot which, until now, I didn't know was against the system. I only gave a B lot pass to a friend who tailgates with us and goes in a portion of one of our tailgate spots since I have two. If I have an available B lot pass, I will give it to him since he is paying a small portion to tailgate with us. There is no skating the system, at least not on my part.
It was my understanding that you had to donate to the RCAF in order to renew or receive a new tailgating spot? Its been like this for quite some time. How were people "skirting the system" as Cajunrage keeps saying if you had to donate to the RCAF in order to have a tailgating spot?
Why is that their fault that you were not around? We all make choices. You made your choices...they made their choices. Their choices gave them extra spots because no one was jumping on them and claiming them. Your choices did not give you those spots. There is no blame to go around...and any ill will you have for them is misplaced, petty, and immature. If you were in their shoes...would you take offense to someone lauding the loss of a 100% allowed practice that made their tailgating experience enjoyable?
I mean exactly what I said. If the school makes a rule, follow it. If it proves to be a bad rule, that truth will come to light. If no one follows it, there is no proof that the rule caused the cluster.
I wasn't pointing out anyone in particular, but I know several people hand passes across the fence, etc. That is against the rules. We have a problem in society of not feeling the need to follow rules that we don't agree with. Speeding, drinking and driving, etc. People have the right to question, protest, whatever they want to get the rule changed, but until it is changed, the rule needs to be followed.
You are correct. It is a problem but worrying about those people is just not a valid use of our time or efforts. They will do it regardless of what we feel about it. I worked at a company where the head honcho was at the copier on fridays making copies of the parking passes to give to friends so they could enter. He color coded them and everything and it must have taken him an hour or two just to get them to look like the original. This was the head of a company doing this and not thinking there was anything wrong with it.
The skirting of the system is that only one person had to join the RCAF...while multiple people contribute and/or participate in the tailgating spot. Or at least that is the perceived skirting of the system that has caused the administration to whack the pinata that is it's already loyal fans.
Just to clarify, we have never handed tickets through fences or anything like that. I meant shuffled passes as in used TG passes as parking pass, leaving the rcaf parking passes left over for non rcaf/season ticket holder family members to use.
With this new rule, my siblings will have to pony up, car pool or walk (or possibly quit coming bc they don't care that much).
