I have to disagree with you on one thing. I would be willing to bet above 90% of the vehicles in the TG area belong to RCAF members already. Now your taking those out TG and moving into lots where RCAF members are already parking. So whats going to happen is now your going to fill up the lots but you won't make anymore money. For instance the 2 cars that have always parked in my spot belong to 2 RCAF 500 dollar level members. No my friend and I will be forced to park in the lot. In the long run you will fill up the lot with existing RCAF members and you wont have the incentive of a parking pass to atract new members becaus the lots will be overflowing. Sounds like cutting off nose to spite your face.

Good counter. But that leads to this: being we do have a unique setup (lots of land), should we not capitalize on the list of people waiting to hand over money? Or should we worry cater to the individual wants (not needs) of each tailgater??

When the parking lot is overflowing, the university then should raise the stakes of which rcaf levels get parking passes within CajunField.

Edit: that may very well mean I personally can't afford to park w/in the fences. But I will gladly walk from Blackham to sit in a badazz stadium that has new press box and suites from funds raised from rcaf donations.

I work in sales, if you make it harder for people to do business with you they just quit. I don't see any good reason to create this hassle of trying to get in and out so many times. Just no logical explanation other than to create more cluster.
I work in customer service also. I hand carry my stuff from the lot to my friends RV. Exercise is good. Go early and you will have less exercise. Buy a fold-up wagon, they make them in red, yeah! At Ole Miss there are no cars in the main tailgating area and most spots are long hike away. This is nothing. And i like the idea of not having any cars in the paid for spots area.

Anyone with an rcaf pass is allowed to drop off at spot then go park in your allotted space. Everyone pays , no way around it and anyone who pays for rcaf is allowed to drop off supplies and has a parking spot. Don't want to join rcaf you park outside the fence and carry whatever you bring or arrange for an rcaf member to drop it off for you.

You could always park at Blackham just there was never a need for it before. I have parked at the printing center, behind the Hilton and Blackham before I joined RCAF. The more people we attract the less inconvenient and more expensive it will be. No ifs ands or buts about it.

I to like the idea of not having cars in the TG area. But (read the original post) no matter how you do it you are gonna have 100's of cars all at once after the game, going against traffic exiting, trying to get back into TG spots. I don't think raising money or parking is the issue. The real issue is it more than doubles the amount of traffic in and out the TG area where kids are running around and playing. It just completley goes against the natural flow of traffic out of the stadium after the game. I smell cluster ______!

At the end of the day, this parking in the tailgate area will become a non issue. Here is what is going to happen. People ______ing will pony up and pay the $250 to get a pass. They will walk an extra 50 yards at most to and from their tailgate spot. People will find a way to load up the valuables before they go into the game. Then they will leave right after the game ends. That will become the norm & people will find other things to ______ about on Ragin Pagin.

    Go UL-L or UL-Lafayette ... your choice ... *sighs*

    2) Start planning on new game day routine. Plenty of time to come up with solution to problem

Who said anything about returning the spot, and I'm capable and will adjust my routine. No big deal. But one of the major historical issues with this school is its poor planning and lack of communication. If we we don't point that out and hold people accountable it will never change. It's a serious flaw and it has and will continue to hold us back. I wish they charged more for the spots. I wish they had ended parking in the TG area long ago. I just wish they would have handled this and many other things more professionally. That's it.

    Now, bring on 12-0!

Congress has crosswalks already. Pedestrians cross there all the time. Now, to the rest of your comment, I agree and hopefully this will be an option as things progress. To think of the areas from fraternity row all the way through the intramural fields and even to Bourgeois Hall would make great areas for tailgating and possibly give it more of a "grove" feel. There are more trees and you could really make it attractive to the fraternities and sororities being so close to the houses. To me, this would make a great next step that is easily walkable to the stadium.
