I've said for years that they should open the ENTIRE area from the Frats to Blackham for Tailgating and parking. If there are problems within the university to getting it done they need to be dealt with. Under no circumstance should we entertain parking across Congress until a crosswalk has been built and lots have been paved with sufficient lighting.
--OK lets blame the OAK people for starting all this crap by suggesting that we charge for spots (we all know this created a "ME TOO" culture of people wanting to pay for a spot---LOL
Now lets start complaining about when the tickets will be mailed, How bright the new jumbo screen is, the size of the toilets in the new restrooms, the band being too loud in their new area, For the non-informed complaining that they took the kids slide in the EZ away, the old restrooms,
--OK can you think of some more!!!!
Owner of the tailgate spot gets tailgating passes (to allow you in and out to load and unload) and 1 parking pass depending on level of RCAF membership. To be a tailgate spot owner you have to be a member of RCAF now. That is how every tailgate owner has a parking pass.
I guess they should rename those passes to be called "TG Drop Off Passes" instead of "TG Parking Passes". They can be used gain access near your spot to drop off items until 6 hrs. prior to game time, but will be useless as a "Parking Pass". At least that is my understanding.
Whether you agree or not, Ole Miss gets more pub for their tailgating than we do.
I wonder how in the world they have what's considered one of the top tailgates in the country having to carry all their schit by not being able to park in the Grove?
In the big picture very few know the rules, or expect changes to the ones they know.
Intermingling the parking news with UL media day where the focus is athletes won't help.
Every year GA ticket buyers still try to park in the TG area.
Its not always about customer responsibility, sometimes its about advance education.
This should have been an early-summer topic.
PS still better than 2008's mid-season evictions.
Read again, old man. Whether you agree or not, they have what's considered one of, if not the best, tailgate scenes in the country. They have hundreds of tents side by side w/no cars parked next to their spots. How do they do it? If its catered, how do the companies deliver the goods to said tent?
Look here punk! The catering companies drive up and deliver the goods. I've witnessed it with my own "old" eyes!!!! It's a big show and looks very impressive, but I guarantee you they don't have as much fun as we do. Everyone not from around these parts think they know what fun is, then they come visit and find out they don't have a clue!!! You know better than to question the old man!!
