I don't think anyone can deny the large number of available parking spaces at games last season. Sadly those that donated at the $250 level or above and also pay for tailgate areas are getting punished for the actions of a few.

The second problem I see with this policy change is it will encourage those that have invested money into expensive tailgating trailers, equipment, generators and plasma screens not wanting to leave their property unattended during the games. I would think with this change in policy, that the number of people staying in the tailgate areas during the game will only increase. That is the unintended consequence of this policy change.

Again, why not just charge us extra to park in the TG spots?

This can't be about money loss from so called "abuse" when they could easily just charge us more.

You are right about the side effects of this. More people will stay tailgating than ever before. Wow, just imagine all of those vehicles descending on the TG area after the game with the thousands of people left in the TG area.

The only way they will avoid a nightmare scenario is to not allow vehicles to enter the TG area until about 2 hours AFTER the game.

    Good for you.

Why do I have to do it too? I will gladly pay extra to stay the where I am.

so why should others have to pay extra? it goes both ways, what about people that dont park in their spot? the ones that pay for an rcaf spot? they should pay extra so you cn park in your spot? there is no way to do that or police it, so make it all uniform. you get to TG here for x amount, you get to park here for x amount. some people in the middle of the grass cant even get to their spot with a vehicle.

THIS. I have had several less expensive things stolen over the years. Couldn't imagine leaving a TV not locked up.

SOLUTION. Must be RCAF to buy a tailgate spot. Can't buck the system that way.

a solution i would be on board with is going to $1000 spots and you get 1 TG pass for the spot.

I think most that I have spoken to are willing to pay extra for the TG parking area passes, but they were never asked. I hope that this policy change can be revisited after the season. I understand the need to address the abuse of free parking in the TG area, but maybe more thought can be put into the policy change next season.

    Huh?

If others don't want to pay extra for the TG Parking Pass, they won't get one.

Should be interesting for the Tuesday night stAte game this year. Nationally televised games usually run about 3 hours (7pm -10pm), so have fun getting home for about 12-1 am tailgaters....

so they would then have to walk through the entire area and check every vehicle to see if they bought a tag. its either an inclusive deal or nothing at all. you cant do it spot by spot. they would have to constantly try to police it.
