You are correct there are never 30k in the TG area people are spread out. But now you have all the people in TG area trying to get back in all at once. Before traffic trickled. I see more traffic all at once now especially after a game when tailgaters and exiters are cris crossing in a crowded parking lot trying to go in opposite directions.

By the way how does it feel to be on the wrong side of every debat?

I will bet you a cold beer at the first game they do not put sod down. Maybe spray seed.

But last year, the rule was no new vehicles in tailgate area after 1, so those people who parked in their spot were there for that time anyway, and we both know it is still very thin at noon or one. Lourdes park is a good example. Those guys pay a premium to coach robe for those spots and have elaborate tailgates, and not one of them have their vehicle in their spot. I know the PBA guys have gotten used to having their truck be able to pull right up to the spot park and be gravy all day, but think about what makes the tailgating at UL great…..it isn’t that. If every single person that owned tailgating spots park 3 or 4 cars on it, it would suck pretty bad at UL on Saturdays. If you think about it, only a very small percentage park on their spots and those are the ones who aren’t happy about the change. I don’t think anyone expects them to be, but it is what it is.

Kent, you sound just like your ole buddy, Ray- "thats not how we do things here"

Yep. I have parked in lot C since before the RCAF was formed. But I sure do like seeing you morons get all worked up. Having said that I love change for the better but this one serves no purpose what so ever.

By the way you are wrong last year the main road was closed at 1:00 tailgaters could enter their spots via lots C & D. My friend who I TG with did it several times as instructed by John Dugas.

Not sure who this Kent is. But obviously you think your calling someone out by their first name. I am sure your momma didn't name you dms. If you fill the need to call someone out won't you put your real name up on your post. That is just freaking wrong.

You and I both know you have never left the shade of your tent to walk around the TG area during the day. nor have you ever had to stay after a game to pick up anything at your spot. A matter of fact, this new rule will change nothing for you except for walking an extra 100 feet. you might be the least affected person by this rule in the entire TG area.

Am I dense or does the new rule just mean you can't pull in after 12 with anything other than an RCAF tag? Does it also mean if you pull in before 12 with a tailgate tag you will get towed?

As long as the phone brass never make the mistake of telling a TG customer there is someone waiting to take their place, everything will end well.

I originally was thinking of the fields behind the fraternity houses. I think the field behind the sorority houses are the new intramural fields, I could be wrong. Either way one of those two areas would be perfect for tailgates. Not sure how the parking would work.

They just built an entire parking lot for that field.

I've reached out to John Dugas (who is really the guy to be talking to) about all of this. He'll be on Bird's Eye View either Monday or Tuesday to explain and clarify what the new policy is and what it all means.

Don't let him get away with "this is all about liability".

We will still be liable for the time before NOON, and now we will be liable for the "pick-up" free for all, at night.

Ask him to clarify the "pick-up" process please. "Deemed safe" is not a workable guideline to follow.
