    1. Tarps don't require parking passes.
    2. ULM will only have a parking issue when we play them.
    3. Tulane has no fans and the ones they do have live out of state and still think football is soccer and is played in the winter...
    4. LSU requires $20 per car to park 2 miles away. And that was before the current addition. They will be parking in Port Allen on that one..

In a nutshell, we all knew this was coming but it is a sign of good things happening. So be HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY...

Not so fast my friend. Correction. Most fans would have assumed that changes would be for the better once you start winning, in an effort to make more money but this change is without logic. Just let people park where they have always parked and make sure a dollar fee is attached to every parking pass that goes out. Then fill up lots B,C,D with people who are not TGers and currently park behind hilton and are transitioning from casual to loyal fan. You make more money and grow fan base. I have been a Cajun fan all my life. I am now in my mid 40s I don't know why I would expect them to start making logical changes now.

Duggie35, please lookup where an exclamation point is deemed necessary. I can guarantee you it's not needed after every sentence and there's definitely no need for more than 1.

    Default Louisiana TG Policy Changes

    Disclaimers
    1. This is not a parking thread. I have no problem parking in RCAF lot C.
    2. If you are single and or have no school age kids you probably have no idea where I am coming from.
    3. If I had no kids and no responsibility there is no place I’d rather be on any fall Saturday than Cajun field from noon to midnight.

I have 3 kids who are active in youth sports in which most games are on Saturday mornings. New TG rules state that I must set up my TG spot by noon for a 6 o’clock game and 10am for a game at 4 or I cannot get to my spot to set up. I park in lot C which is not a far walk just for parking at all. I have fatherly duties that do not allow me to get to the field to set up before noon. It will be very difficult to haul 6ft folding tables, chairs, barbeque grills, burners and pots… from lot C to TG spot. There is no reason why you should not be able to get to your spot at least up to 3 hrs before the game.

The game will end around 9:00 or 9:30 I will now have to force my family to just sit around 45 minutes to 1 ˝ hrs to wait for the lot to clear just to be able to drive across it to get to my spot to load up. These new rules will probably put me getting home 1 ˝ to 2 hrs latter at night.

I would guess I am not the only person with personal responsibilities that does not allow arrival 6 hrs before the game. These rules scream out to me as a customer, if you cannot spend your entire day from 12 noon until 11pm then we don’t want your business. The administration in my opinion is begging those with kids and other personal responsibility to please stay away we do not want you here. I don’t see any other reason you would force people to get to the stadium 6hrs before the game and then make them hang around while they clear the parking lots just to get to your spot to load up.

This all just makes absolutely no sense to me unless you just want to p!$$ off your biggest fans and donors just for fun.

Again if I had no other life I would love nothing more than to be at Cajun field from noon to midnight.

We've got wives and kids and the whole shebang in our group. Request D passes to replace your C. It allows you to park near the tailgating, unload whenever you get there, and pack up before the game so you don't have to wait after. I've been doing it this way the past couple years and it's worked out just fine.

Recruit some people to join your group and do all of the work for you. Problem solved.

I understand the fact that lots of people have been "doing it this way for years" and it has worked. But the number of people/cars that will be loading/unloading is going to increase 50 fold. It is going to be a cluster... And the idea that fans with TG parking passes will be able to park behind the hilton and come back afterwards to load up-- REDICULOUSE!! That will add to the confusion of the cluster.

On a positive note, maybe we can trademark it and invite people to come tailgate for Ragin' Cajun games at "The Cluster".

Danny P you are smart man and 100% correct.

Brock why should I have to do that. This change is simply for the sake of change. I have been TGing in same spot since mid 90s. I have never had a problem with getting in and out. I have never seen any major issues. This is just stupid change. Unless, as CP said they are just looking for new ways to turn loyal fans away.

You don't have to do it. You can go with the rule changes and don't adapt to make it easier and stay ____ed at the administration. It's what half the board seems to want to do anyway. Just offering a way to make game day a little more enjoyable with minimal fuss involved to make it happen.
