Actually Fox Sports is the not the problem, they sold the Scout network to North American Membership Group. The CEO is the guy that originally started Rivals. They follow the old AP model, using the acronym of Louisiana-Lafayette. Unfortunately, my contract agreement was with Fox Sports and thus NAMG are not obligated to that contract.

But they were assigned Fox's bundle of rights under your contract with Fox Sports and should be therefore obligated accordingly unless they required you to enter a new contract.

So Boomer, you don't read Dan McDonald either? You look at the local paper as if they are an extension of our alumni base or part of the Ragin' Cajun family, they are not. They are part of the Gannett News Corporation and cover that Cajuns as they do LSU. Its business, that's it. I'm happy that the Advocate is now covering the UL Sports program with a full time beat writer. That means this program is now more news worthy and others see the value in covering our program. Judge the quality of his work, not because he uses an acronym that our university screwed up!

-------T I will use my own prerogatives in judging the content and quality of anybody's journalistic writings---the MA is not covering UL sports program, they are covering whatever they are referring to our school by that isn't our preferred name----Yes I have stopped reading Dan's stuff when he gets in the MA mode---I know or think that you aren't a Buckley fan but at least he goes along with the wishes of the Cajun nation in using UL/Louisiana---As I have stated, the MA will not be purchased by this guy until the criteria of the desired acronym along with the Louisiana athletic wording is used!!! And yes I am hoping that the MA does change its policy if only in the Lafayette edition--seems like a NO BRAINER to me but we will see!!!
