I know how to solve this little argument. I say we play a round of golf, 4 man scramble. LSU fans vs UL fans, minimum 1 beer per hole.

Man, I really need to get back on the course. I'll say this, I'd be up for drinking some beers before a UL baseball game. I'm working in Lafayette quite a bit these days and I definitely plan on catching some Cajun mid-week games.

I played in Gulfport last weekend for the first time since I played Pelican Point in Gonzales last March. It was great, there is nothing like a round with the boys. I dont plan on missing any game this year, just waiting to see how much my beer and peanuts will cost.

    Not exactly.

The 1st post of this threa was once an observation post on the "2009 Schedule" thread, when the thread went in the direction it did, I split it.

Answer: Because their OOC doesn't matter. If they win the SEC, they will play in the national championship (most years), so why not pad the schedule with a few cupcakes to preserve the X-0 record for the SEC run? Last year would have been different since the SEC was weaker than normal (i.e a 2 loss SEC team probably wouldn't have gotten in the NC). _
I understand the rationale for both of our schedules, but I wish we played a little better and the Cajuns played a little easier.

As an LSU fan for what I am paying for tickets I wd prefer at least one high profile OCC opponent at home (e.g., like Va Tech)-its especially bad in our off years when we go on the road to Auburn and Fla. This year, at least we have a good road trip if you want to take advantage of it and go to the game in Seattle.

Though I understand the need for money-I wish the Cajuns cd back off the money games. Played them better this year-but the 2 losses-especially if by large margins-puts the damper on fan interest and enthusiasm and while I know the players enjoy the competition-it can't be fun spotting 2 games.

As for the Pac 10-at least USC gets their share of the bias. They have a great program, but watching Herbie and Brent cover USC sometimes I wonder sometimes.

Our OOC schedules in the past few yrs have included the likes of Oregon St, Arizona, Arizona St, VT, and this year Washington. Maybe not murders row, but when you normally see 5 or so ranked teams in your SEC schedule...it works for me and it hasn't done too badly in the eyes that count...the BCS.

I think the Cajuns are between a rock and a hard place with the money games. I don't know what you do with that one.

I don't have any problem with USC, but the Big 10 is a different case. They need to get their football act together.
