Verizon announced that updated FiOS app for Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles have added 14 channels to the lineup which includes AMC HD, AXS TV, beIN Sport, beIN Sport Espanol, Bloomberg TV, Cine Sony, Cooking Channel, Encore, Showtime, Showtime Extreme, Sony Movie Channel, Starz, Trinity Broadcast, and Universal Sport. Verizon also highlighted the fact that users will no longer require an Xbox Live Gold Subscription to stream live TV and content through the FiOS TV app. Customers can immediately start using voice and gesture commands to control the TV through Kinect. The consoles bring together TV channels and entertainment app channels into one seamless interface. Customers can create their own personal favorites through the electronic program guide. For easy navigation, users can search for TV, movies, games or music scans across all apps to find exactly what they’re looking for — without having to hunt through each app individually or to juggle multiple apps.
