He looks pretty freaking productive in his highlights, not to mention his stats against the quality competition he had (a higher level than what McGuire went against, mind you). Not one person compared him to McGuire because they are completely different types of players. Appreciate the kid for who he is. We may not have another McGuire for years, I dont get comparing the two. I understand comparing him to Alonzo since he's much closer in style to him.
Who? I assume you mean Elijah McGuire.
Until McGuire finishes his career with more yards and touchdowns than Tyrell Fenroy and/or Alonzo Harris, you cannot make that statement as a definitive fact. Subjectively, I believe that Harris is the best pro prospect at running back we have ever had, with the exception of Brian Mitchell, who did not play the position for us. That doesn't necessarily make him the best college back, but as of today Harris is a better pro prospect than McGuire as an every down RB.
Read a tweet from T last night that said we got an OLB from Mississippi. I will wait and see if he gets on campus...we have had so many LB commits from Mississippi only to see them decommit or not qualify.
---Well Duhhh--I am part Irish as my grand parents come from Ireland---I am Cajun with some Spanish on the other side---I love the St patrick's Day happenings as the St Joseph altars etc---Just wondering his background because of the name----The SSC debate was over a certain individual that probably proved my assertions correct---please don't have me explain it again to the not knowing on here!!!
Love Yobes, winner as a person and contributor to this program. But Yobes was a tweener, never fast enough to be the work horse and not big enough to be a full time fullback.
Quaide like Williams is more of the type of RB we are now recruiting. Both can run and catch the ball out of the backfield. You don't need to recruit as many special down backs. McGuire is a special athlete, we won't get that type of back in every recruiting class although we have that type of athlete in Dion Ray.
