He started eight of the 10 games he played in 2011 and in seven games of the 10 he played in 2012, then – after sustaining a major season-ending knee injury – bounced back to play as a reserve linebacker in all 13 games last season.

Heading into the start of preseason camp early next month, UL football coach Mark Hudspeth seems to have Notre Dame High product Jake Molbert penciled into his plans for 2014 – as a starter again, in all likelihood as things stand now.
