Not surprising... we had the worst field goal percentage in school history last year. We bring in a couple of "projects" at center and some kids that bounced around a few schools.... and we were supposed to improve. I'm glad I didn't buy the snake oil the General was peddlin'. Disappointed... yes. Surprised... no!
I like Lee....but he's out-punted his coverage.
Will be there Thursday though.
I agree with most posters. Coach Lee is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I hope for the best and really didn't want to give up on him. I was hoping he would be one of those coaches that stick with us for years and brought us multiple conference titles. Unfortunately that's not the case. It's time for him to go. Being that I would rather not see him get fired, I hope he resigns.
Thank GOD softball starts next week!!!

Pretty sure they went 7-22 in 1995, I was still there.
The year before we went 22-8 and lost to Marquette in St. Pete. 1994-95 was supposed to be a promising season with lots of young talent (Manuel, Price, Bowman, Poole) replacing guys like Byron Starks and Michael Allen. But the team had the worst shooting season in school history (.402 FG percentage) and lost a lot of close games early in the season.
The biggest difference between the current team and the 1995 team is that the 1995 team was very inexperienced on the court and definitely got better as their careers progressed. I don't know if you can say the same about the current group.

Yeah, we were talking in the office the other night about what Cajun season has been the worst in history and those were the two we came up with. I was only three years old for the 1976 season, but I do understand how frustrating that season was for Cajun fans accustomed to winning and winning big.
