The year before we went 22-8 and lost to Marquette in St. Pete. 1994-95 was supposed to be a promising season with lots of young talent (Manuel, Price, Bowman, Poole) replacing guys like Byron Starks and Michael Allen. But the team had the worst shooting season in school history (.402 FG percentage) and lost a lot of close games early in the season.
The biggest difference between the current team and the 1995 team is that the 1995 team was very inexperienced on the court and definitely got better as their careers progressed. I don't know if you can say the same about the current group.
