Williams, who originally signed with Northeast Texas Community College earlier this year after graduating from Union, got the offer from UL coaches while playing in a summer league tournament in Houston, Texas last weekend.

Why is this (athletes playing multi-sports) frowned upon so much? I am sure that we have talent that could be used in a multi-sport scenario.

That school across the spillway doesn't encourage it, but they don't completely poo-poo it either.

For example:

Trindon Holliday (Track and Football)
Chad Jones (Football and Baseball)
Ben McDonald (Baseball and Basketball)
Bennie Brazell (Track and Football)

I am sure there are others, but those are the ones off the top of my head.
