As a programer of PLC's used in the oil and gas industries, I did a little test. I set up a timer using milli seconds. Watching a live action replay of the shot, 10 times in a row, the ball left his hand at 2.195 to 2.275 seconds. I had several other co workers also start and stop the clock all with the same results. The shot was off in time, no ifs ands or buts.
The South AL player was #25 Ronald Douglas, a JUCO transfer from Baton Rouge. He said he gets tired of watching his coach act like a kid when he doesn't get what he wants, we were talking by the cajuns bench right after the game was over. I said his coach acted like a baby the entire game and he agreed with me and said he gets tired of it.
Now if you are so "Tired of the BS", go ahead and email Ronnie Arrow and tell him that "the guy he looked directly in the eyes to at the scorers table when he asked to see a replay and I told him they showed one on the big screen and the shot was released before the clock expired", also talked to Ronald Douglas and he said he is tired of his behavior. Do you think that Coach Arrow listens to his players? I witnessed him not listening to others with authority. I would like for you to also email his assistant Chris Coker and commend him on acting like a real bad___ to a female UP and also for restraining Coach Arrow and not letting his embarass himself, his team, and his university.
Jay said this week on his show that he thought Arrow would probably get a letter from the conference.(I'll bet he's really shaking in his boots.) He said a suspension was unlikely, because the refs had left before Arrow had his melt-down. Had that happened between him and the refs it would have been a different situation.
I'm thinking that was the problem in his mind...the "refs" had left. Right or wrong, he was expecting to see them at the scorers table looking at a monitor to see a replay. Doesn't excuse his verbal loss of control, but I'm not sure there are many coaches around who would not have expected the same thing out of the refs and been unhappy to learn they had left the court.
He would have been in serious trouble acting like that to a ref... and that is partly why he ramped it up. I can understand his disappointment and even outrage at not having the officials validate the shot via video. Something strikes me strange that he was not dealt with to finality by the referees. I wonder if when he started his tirade, if a referee said "THEY" don't have a monitor... or something like that... and just walked off.
He seemed to go off on the Cajundome for not having a monitor. If the referees agree to call the came without one... that is a Sunbelt/NCAA referee issue. He has no beef with the Cajundome or UL... he has a beef with the Sunbelt/NCAA. And I think he should march his hot-headed butt over to their offices and continue his tirade.
