UL's football program, which had a roster featuring seven players from Florida in the secondary this past season, has dipped into that same talent pool for another defensive back.
Byron Blake, a cornerback from Glades Central High in Belle Glade, Fla., told The Daily Advertiser on Saturday that he had committed to sign with the Cajuns.
The only step left for Blake is to sign a binding national letter of intent on Feb. 4. The Florida native becomes the 15th public commitment for UL in its 2009 signing class.
