I like Don's Rankings. He really knows LA HS football. Us and Tulane usually get lowered by him because we recruit out of state players he is not as familiar with.
BTW, in the years I have looked at Don's player rankings, Fenroy is the highest rated player we have every gotten. Looks like he nailed that one!
You raise an excellent point about "locally produced" opinions on our recruiting of out of state players. Better they say nothing if they are not familiar with these players and that goes for guys like Mike Detillier and Lee Breechen as well. My point being that 2008's Jaron Odom, Dwight Bentley and Ladarius Green, for example, were quality recruits these people would not be expected to know about.
Nor, would I take Mike Detillier's mention of Doolie and LaTex recruiting in the New Orleans area on New Orleans radio as an insult or slight of UL recruiting.
All of this is what makes CajunT's RedZone worth supporting and using. It is getting information about Cajun recruiting out to the world like has never happened before (not to mention Josh P's recent work as well). No longer do I read the Advocate or the Picayune or listen and watch Breechen etc. on TV and radio to pick up "scraps" of information on the Cajuns.
Somebody better tell Mike Detillier quick!

Re: Lost a commit?
I visited Louisiana Tech and was committed there, but it?s now down to Minnesota and Nebraska for me, definitely."
L'Damian Washington.
This is in no way a shot at LaTex, it happens to all of us. I'm just saying that getting all gushy about recruits before they sign can be hazardous to your credibility.
I had posted before about the sudden increase of all kind of new names by the Cajuns in the last week or so----smart move on our part maybe!!! Many of these were never on CajunT's site!!!!
Dandy Don's ranks players pretty much from combine ratings on Rivals,Super Prep and Max Ensfinger. There is no way you can accurately rank players without seeing them play or at least watch video. He is wrong on athletes, as much as he is right. Max Ensfinger actually goes out and watches athletes play around the country and in Louisiana. Lee Breechen offers video services now for college football staffs. UL uses his services right now and he is the best in Louisiana covering hs football. Everyone else is tied to a particular program. Mr.Don is a nice guy, but he focuses soley on LSU.
