What does bother me is that on the center for World University rankings they are 185 with I think UNO at 169 and having looked into the 600s--we aren't mentioned---We have to be better than not mentioned and somebody like the academic VP needs to get to all these rating services pronto---LSU and Tulane of course are ranked higher---Anybody know why we are not ranked???

This is so very funny. Trying to follow the current brand of logic in Ruston is turning into a tough task. This should be made into a thread all it's own. If we don't make the USA Today list soon who knows what they may do. There is a goldmine of "wisdom" there, but the following are a few nuggets. These do not represent a full conversation, but do represent the desperate, delusional, and ad homonym nature of their despair over our success. Note: there are a few on their board who do seem rational, but they are a minority.

It's quite comical how insecure that school is. SLII wasn't named and founded until 1900. It opened its doors in 1901."

Nah. It's just fun to see them squirm. You remember about all of the separation and how they continued to rub it in? Eventually, it comes back to bite you. Circle of life. Right now, life is great at UL. We just need to stay focused and take advantage of this opportunity.

As an Addendum.....my post concerning the subjective nature of all the different University "Rankings" does not mean that we should not be "in the game". Unfortunately, these things are important in helping the perception of a University in the General Public. The University should be on top of this........no more comment is needed....
