For one, the plan is to make the new one adjacent to the Dome. That would allow use of the Dome locker rooms. Right now, there are no locker facilities at the basketball practice facility in the IPF. Also, there are some parts of the floor which need to be replaced. Still, that is a few years down the road as Phase 1 and Phase 2 have higher priority projects at this stage.
You are correct---Phase 1 is happening now---Phase 2 is in the capital fund raising efforts----I think the new UL "River Ranch" look and buildings are also part of the phase3!!! What is confusing at times is the mixture of the campus plan and the athletic plan---I think by design that some of the campus monies are being used for the athletic plan as was done by the IPF!!!

Nope. Looks like you might be confusing again. The "River Ranch" look you refer to is NOT in the athletic master plan phase 3.

A blending project you refer to above would be the proposed parking garage on the ease side of Cajun Field. It was serve for commuter parking during school as well as game day parking during the fall and also for Cajundome events.

Or maybe it is the City and University planned development of the CajunDome area into shops, restaurants, hotels and apartments in addition to the athletic complex and research park. When that happens, I sure hope it has a River Ranch look to it.

Beau the Campus plan had the European look associated with it at the athletic complex---now obviously they have a lot of changing things available, but the leased out areas would provide a continuing money flow to the university---Also the Campus plan had the stadium front and patio area in the power point---I have a feeling that the 2 will be matched up all for the good---Correct I don't know for sure but I know what I saw and maybe this is an extended phase 3---but it was a part of both plans!!!

That planned confusion was a brilliant move in that it enabled the passing of the Campus Master Plan by students in the form of self accessed fees.

On the flip side it killed any chance of student fees passing a similar fee for athletics in the near future.

Mention that other schools are paying much more for their inferior education and that this will be a game changer for us---that in the long run it will mean a better job etc.!!!

Boomer, continue to keep us informed with what other schools are doing. We don't/can't live in a vacuum. It is good to see what the competition is up to. Having stated that, here are a few quotes from the Tulane AD. Hard to believe building that tiny stadium will increase revenue by 5-fold, although the AAC will do a lot for them. The AAC is where we need to be, not CUSA.

    Scott Kushner ‏@ScottDKushner 46m
#Tulane AD Rick ____son said between Yulman & AAC, the Green Wave's FB revenues will increase 5-fold this year. Doubled entire dept revenue.

____son said #Tulane men's and women's hoops will charter flights. Dept will enhance equipment, significantly improve diet & food options.

Also confirmed through source #Tulane's rights contract with IMG more than tripled. The financial impacts are very real.
