I definitely don't visit Techs Barfs & Bytes as often as some do, but i found this amusing. It's a thread about USA today's ongoing FBS team preseason rankings. Starts off with them hoping their not in the bottom 110, relief at not being in the bottom 90, and surprised at ranking 80. The real fun starts around page 20 when the 50th team is announced & old double L still hasn't been named. As of last night there are 46 teams left to name & it's KILLING some of them that Louisiana is still not on list. One actually suggested the author probably thinks we're FCS. Anyway I got a chuckle from it

Louisiana Tech, has this posted as their Scoreboard stats on their Official Athletic Website:

A brand new, state-of-the-art videoboard was installed in the north end zone in time for the 2009 season, a $2 million addition to the facility. Built by Daktronics, the national leader in scoreboard and videoboard manufacturers, it is 25 feet x 45 feet and can show one display or be split into multiple replays. In addition, the south end zone received a brand new LED scoreboard that all fans can easily see during the day or at night.


UL's scoreboard going to be 30'x54'!

ASU's video board is 32ft tall by 50ft wide which is 1600 sf while UL's video board is 30ft tall and 54ft wide which is 1620 sf, so UL's is actually 20 sf bigger which isn't much when you talking about something that big. I would prefer the wider one than a taller one.

How about that 2 of the schools that LaTeche, have been Dawging, will both have Larger, newer, video boards than them, says so right on the LaTeche Athletic Website. I be a monkeys uncle, that is crazy aren't they a part of CUSA, I hope their great LIE to get into CUSA in reference to construction/expansion of their facilities did not include their new smallish scoreboard!

Yea, the Poly Pups will bring their best efforts, no doubt. The Pups will be smarting from the Sooner Boomers, and looking towards their Big Time opponent in North Texas Dallas Bowl victors. They will come in feeling like they still own the Cajuns without any respect they have us as a W. Hud is not Bustle and McNeese is not an issue.

The hoax have in their media guide this year that their video board is the 2nd largest on campus in La at almost 1600 sq. ft. I would assume A&M BR has the largest? In a few short weeks that statement will be false.
