Boomer, continue to keep us informed with what other schools are doing. We don't/can't live in a vacuum. It is good to see what the competition is up to. Having stated that, here are a few quotes from the Tulane AD. Hard to believe building that tiny stadium will increase revenue by 5-fold, although the AAC will do a lot for them. The AAC is where we need to be, not CUSA.

I definitely don't visit Techs Barfs & Bytes as often as some do, but i found this amusing. It's a thread about USA today's ongoing FBS team preseason rankings. Starts off with them hoping their not in the bottom 110, relief at not being in the bottom 90, and surprised at ranking 80. The real fun starts around page 20 when the 50th team is announced & old double L still hasn't been named. As of last night there are 46 teams left to name & it's KILLING some of them that Louisiana is still not on list. One actually suggested the author probably thinks we're FCS. Anyway I got a chuckle from it

This is so very funny. Trying to follow the current brand of logic in Ruston is turning into a tough task. This should be made into a thread all it's own. If we don't make the USA Today list soon who knows what they may do. There is a goldmine of "wisdom" there, but the following are a few nuggets. These do not represent a full conversation, but do represent the desperate, delusional, and ad homonym nature of their despair over our success. Note: there are a few on their board who do seem rational, but they are a minority.

"If Hudspeth is so good, why hasn't he been hired away? He's not breaking the bank at ULL."

"That's a good question. He also had success at North Alabama (66-21 in 7 years). His overall record is now 93-33 in 10 years as a head coach. He's a good coach, but not a hot commodity. Must have some skeletons in his closet or something?"

"Yeah. Based on some legislation they dug up (or probably fabricated knowing ULL) a couple years ago that allowed for a nameless university to be created in Lafayette in the future, ULL quietly changed their founding date by moving it back from 1900 to 1898 to make them appear more distinguished. It's quite comical how insecure that school is. SLII wasn't named and founded until 1900. It opened its doors in 1901."

"Could ULL have been overlooked? I just can't fathom that any professional prognosticator could think ULL is that good."

---Now you see what you guys have been missing???? I catch them in more lies than you can imagine and the frustrating thing is that the lies worked as far as their getting into a conference we wanted into!!! Juxtaposition guys is a thing that clearly puts the Cajuns over the Greenies and LTUR

They have better conference affiliation and academic leads ---but our facilities are clearly better and will be even better!!! Talent is also in our favor but it is not a cake walk as recruiting always has its surprises!!! also go to the Tulane Huddle to see their rant---____ed off big time at the stadium size and parking!!
